INTERDEPARTMENTAL MA "TRANSLATION: GREEK, ENGLISH, RUSSIAN" 2022-2024
The Interdepartmental MA runs parralel to the MAs of the cooperating Departments of the School of Philosophy and shares courses with them.
Along with the MA of the Department of English Language and Literature, the interdepartmental postgraduate students participated in the 2nd TEP (Translation, Education and Pragmatics) postgraduate Symposium, Feb. 24, 2023, online, with the Universities of Bari and Salento (Italy), Obiedo (Spain), Aristotle and Kapodistrian (Greece). Their work in the 'Research Methodology in Translation Studies' MA course has developed in two special issues in
- 2024, 'Translating Power Distance', Journal of Translation and Translanguaging in Multilingual Concepts, and
- 2025, forthcoming, 'Translating Threat'.
In the 'Translation Practicum' course, the MA teams participated in the shared interdepartmental project of the School of Philosophy, and produced the English translation of The NKUA Guide for Incoming Students by NKUA publications.
In the same semester (spring 2023), the team cooperated with the EL-Translations Academy Learning for their introduction to translation memories and their translation practice.
