2 June 2023, 12:00-3:00 p.m., 'Translating for Incoming Students' Workshop (for English). Presentation of a Laboratory Cooperation project (of the Departments of English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian of the School of Philosophy) on the occasion of the emergence of the new laboratories, at the space of the old Spoudastiria. 29 May 2023, 12:00-3:00 p.m., Library Amphitheatre, Interdepartmental MA workshop (MA 'Translation: Greek, English, Russian') involving translation  undergraduates, The 2023 Student Translation Workshop. Postgraduates assign text fragments for the translation issues they raise and give feedback to translation undergraduates, highlighting the theoretical significance of shifts.

 

 

 

 7 & 9 Μarch 2023, 4.30 μ.μ.-10.00 μμ. Ukrainian scholars in Athens, series of lectures by Ukrainian scholars, at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as part of a solidarity campaign. Organizing: Dr. Nikolaos Lavidas, the following  Athens University MA students helped in the organization of the events and in the translation of parts of the event into English: Sofia Chionidi, Eleni Nasi, Thanos Patras, Olga Marinova, Maria Episkopou.

 

24 February 2023, 10:00 π.μ.-19:00 μ.μ., 2nd online postgraduate symposium Translation, Education and Pragmatics (TEP ΙΙ), organized by two Greek, two Italian and a Spanish university, where postgraduates of the   interdepartmental MA 'Translation: Greek, English, Russian' and of the specialization 'Translation Studies and Interpreting'  (of the MA 'English Languge, Linguistics and Translation' 2022-2023, presented the projects they developed in their 1st semester course 'Research Methodology in Translation Studies' and attended other translation-related presentations by MA and PhD students of the Universities of Bari Aldo Moro, of Salento, of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the University of Oviedo.  Call for PapersPhoto at the closing of the Symposium, symposium assessment statistics, symposium homepage ΤΕP II

 

15-22 July 2022, Translation Summer Programme organized by the Steering Committee of the MA 'English Language, Linguistics and Translation', Department of English Language and Literature, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. See 'Lectures/Seminars' for its content. An outline of the 2022 summer programme appeared in the Λόγου Χάριν periodical (7, p.20) of the Greek department, General Directorate of the European Commission, entitled 'Μεταφραστική πρακτική και διεπιστημονικές οπτικές: Θερινό πρόγραμμα μετάφρασης (15-22/7/2022)' by Dr. Maria Sidiropoulou.

 

22 March 2022, postgraduate Symposium Researching Translation where students of the Interdepartmental MA of the School of Philosophy, NKUA, "Translation: Greek, English, Russian" and the specialization "Translation Studies and Interpteting" of the MA "English Language, Linguistics and Translation" 2020-2022, presented their MA dissertations . 25 February 2021, 1st online postgraduate Symposium, Translation, Education and Pragmatics (TEP I), organized by two Greek and two Italian universities, where students of the Interdepartmental MA of the School of Philosophy, NKUA, "Translation: Greek, English, Russian" and the specialization "Translation Studies and Interpteting" of the MA "English Language, Linguistics and Translation" 2020-2022, presented the projects of their core course "Research Methodology in Translation Studies". PhD students from the University of Thessaloniki, School of English, from the University of Bari 'Aldo Moro' and from the University of Salento also presented their translation research.
