Summary of unit 7
Unit 7 highlights the contribution of translation (as an instance of language contact) to tracing shifts in the use of politeness features, in Greek translated political science production diachronically. The use of phenomena seem to be affected by the incoming volume of English language works. (Visual material from the East coast of the U.K., on the way from Bangor, Wales, to the campus of the University of Manchester.)
